Allen L. Williams

Allen L. Williams of Niles, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10:43 a.m. in the intensive care unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was 75.

Mr. Williams was born in Warren on November 27, 1942, the son of the late Charles LeRoy and Rachel Rupe Williams.

He was a 1960 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Following high school, Allen proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Allen was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency from 1963 to 1968.

Allen was employed for 36 years at Niles Expanded Metals. Earlier in his career he was a line operator, but at the time of his retirement in 2006, Mr. Williams was a supervisor.

Mr. Williams enjoyed watching various sporting events, especially football and NASCAR. He looked forward to going fishing on a nice summer day, enjoying a good book, or riding his bicycle. Allen especially cherished traveling with his wife to Mexico and the Dominican Republic on a yearly basis.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Virostek Williams, whom he married on May 27, 1966; a daughter, Julie Williams of Anderson, IN; 3 sons, Brian Miller of Panama City, FL, David Williams (Theresa) of Cortland, OH, and Eric (Debbie) Williams of Brazil, IN; a sister, Suzan Heath of Akron, OH; 4 grandchildren, Paige and Blake Mize, Morgan and Kyle Williams.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Williams; 2 brothers, Richard and Glenn Williams.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.

A prayer service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the funeral home with Fr. James Korda.

Allen will receive full military honors at St. Stephens Cemetery.
