Brenda S. (Shaffer) Garr

Brenda S. Garr of Girard passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 7:52 p.m. in the Trumbull Regional Medical Center. She was 65.

Brenda was born on May 4, 1953 in McKeesport, PA, the daughter of Robert and Eleanor Sumi Shaffer.

She graduated from Campbell Memorial High School. Brenda was at Heritage Manor Nursing Home prior to taking maternity leave to give birth to her youngest daughter Alexa. She was also employed by and managed several cleaning agencies.

Brenda cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She also enjoyed painting ceramics, sudoku puzzles, gardening, interior design, playing on her computer, especially playing solitaire, as well as watching movies, and coloring. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, she loved to decorate and watch her favorite movie White Christmas.

She leaves behind her father Robert Shaffer of Campbell; 3 daughters, Angela (Jimmie) Mestichelli-Markley, Amber (Jay) Racick, and Alexa Garr; a son, Adam (Kristen) Mestichelli; a brother, Bobby (Suzie) Shaffer; 7 grandchildren, Wesley, Gregory, Dante, Braielyn Jr., Jaylyn, Jordyn, and Nala; a nephew, James Robert Shaffer; a cousin, Vanessa Musgrove; her companion Richard Garr; and best friends, Linda K. Magness, Marlane Kotch, Karen Schuto, and Norma Novicky.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Shaffer.
