David M. Hartsock

David Hartsock, 90, of State Route 45 Austinburg, OH died at 10:00 PM, on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at Austinburg Rehab Center in Austinburg, OH
He was born on Monday, December 28, 1914, in Braddock, PA, son of the late Perry and Francis (McIntyre) Hartsock.

David was a Struthers High School graduate. He attended the Ohio State Patrol Academy and the FBI Police Officers Academy.

He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

David is an honorably discharged U. S. Naval veteran. He retired from the Ohio State Patrol, Reynoldsburg, Geneva, Warren and Worthington. He was the Chief of Police in Boardman, OH retired and Chief of Police in Howland, OH-retired.

He married Mary Elizabeth (Green) Hartsock who preceded him in death in March 1996.

David is survived by three children; Beverly Ventura of Bucyrus, OH, Carol(James) Johnson of Madison, OH, and Mary Yantes of Columbus, OH. Nine grandchildren; John and Linda Armour, Kathy Kasiewicz, Jennifer, David, and Donald Johnson, Andrew and Michael Yantes, Christine Hamilton. He also leaves behind 20 great-grandchildren; Daniel, Richard, Jerry, Michael, Kristin, and Korri Armour, Aimee, Ken, Aaron, Lynette, Jared and Arielle Kasiewicz, Chase, Cal and Garlynd Johnson, Eileen, Elise, Geoffrey Yantes, Ethan and Elliott Hamilton and 2 Great-great-grandchildren; Elyse and Mya Dye.
Besides his parents and wife he is also preceded in death by a son, Perry Hartsock.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, February 13, 2005 at MCFARLAND AND SON FUNERAL HOME and Monday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Services will be held at MCFARLAND AND SON FUNERAL HOME on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 1:00 PM with Father Robert J. Karl officiating.
Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, in Cortland, OH
February 14, 2005 following the service.
