Dennis Cartwright

Dennis Cartwright of Niles, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 3:31 a.m. in Cleveland University Hospital. He was 68.

Dennis was born on August 30, 1949 in Franklinville, NY. The son of the late James A. and Ruth M. Dunlap Cartwright.

Mr. Cartwright proudly served our country in the United States Army.

He was a high school graduate of New York Public School Systems. Mr. Cartwright was a forklift operator for various companies throughout his life.

Dennis enjoyed cheering on the Buffalo Bills during Sunday football games. He loved watching old western movies and spending time at his favorite fishing spot. Dennis enjoyed the memories he made with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always the life of the family gatherings, making sure no one went away with out a smile on their face and a good laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years and love of his life, Janice Ruman of Niles; a daughter, Julie (Edward) Eason of Niles; a sister, Cathy Cartwright-Richardson of New York; a brother Darrel Dunlap of New York; 2 half-brothers, Terry and John Simpson; 3 grandchildren, Prescilla, Evelynn, and Colleen.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by a brother David Cartwright; a half-brother, Steve Simpson.

Full military honors will be rendered, and inurnment will take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, OH 44273
