Dixie L. Flowers

Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Dixie Flowers, 64, of Howland, passed away on January 29, 2024, with her family by her side.

She was born in Warren, Ohio, on August 5, 1959, a daughter of Glenn and Rosalie (Maus) Pugh. She was a 1977 graduate of Howland High School and went on to further her education in accounting at Kent State Trumbull campus.

Dixie liked reading, gardening, enjoying her animals, and cheering on the Raiders AFC football team. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Hubert H. Flowers Sr; son Hubert Flowers Jr (wife Nicole Hall); stepdaughter Mary Franklin; 10 grandchildren and one M.J.; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Vickie Flowers, Denise (Dino) Santiago; brother Glenn Pugh; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dixie was preceded in death by her daughter Connie Lynn Flowers Gordon; father, Glenn Pugh; stepfather David Maus; brothers Edward and Mark Pugh.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 2:00pm-4:00pm, at Wm Nicholas Funeral Home, 614 Warren Ave., Niles, OH 44446. In lieu of flowers the family requests that material contributions be made to the American Stroke Association in Dixie’s name.
