Donald J. Bell

Donald J. Bell of Austintown, formerly of Cortland, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 5, 2024, in Hospice House. He was 74.

Don was born October 9, 1949, the son of the late Sam Bell and Constance Natoli Bell.

He graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1967.

Don was a veteran of the Air Force. He worked for JB Winkle as an electrical technician and
 worked for General Motors until 1990. He then was a realtor for All Seasons Realty, and later worked for Microsyis in Boardman and Idleair as a technician until he officially retired. He also taught computer skills to all the realtors and a class in the evening at MVVS to adults.

He was known as Papa to his beautiful granddaughters and his step grandson. Don was very artistic and in his free time he could always be found on a golf course. 

Don married Vickie Ann Edgar in 1973 and together they had two daughters Jennifer (Tim) Knight and Marissa (Kenny) Platt.

In addition to his wife and daughters, he is survived by his granddaughters Ashlyn Juillerat and Danica Juillerat and a step grandson Joey Knight; a brother Thomas Bell; a nephew Brian (Trish) Bell; and a sister Judith (Roy) Allen.

Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
