Edith R. Sperry

Edith R. Sperry, 71, of Warren, died at 4:45 AM, Thursday, December 11, 2003 at Community Skilled Nursing Centre in Warren.

She was born on Thursday, August 11, 1932, in Cortland, the daughter of the late Paul and Ida Mason Roberts.

Mrs. Sperry had attended Warren G. Harding High School and had worked as a waitress and a cook in several area restaurants.

In 1951, she married John Sperry, who died in 1976.

Surviving Mrs. Sperry are three daughters: Donna (Ross) Johnson of Howland, Shelly (Glenn) Westfall of Warren, and Cheryl (Terry) Slater of Warren; two sons: Daniel J. (Pat) Sperry of Warren and Shawn Sperry of Iowa; three sisters: Emma Lynch of Fullerton, Calif., Kathryn Amatore of Columbiana, and Cora Clason of Michigan; two brothers: Robert Roberts of Robertsville, Ohio and Charles Mills of Warren; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Sperry is preceded in death by a son, Howard Albert Sperry; a daughter, E. Marie Sperry; two brothers; and one sister.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2003 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Ave., Warren, with Rev. John Perkey officiating. Burial will follow at Greene Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 14, 2003.
