Elizabeth Slagle

Elizabeth B. (Ballish) Slagle, 92, of Autumn Hills Care Center, Niles, died 4:15 AM Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

She was born Wednesday, November 1, 1911, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ballish.

Mrs. Slagle had been a press operator for Packard Electric and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and travel. She attended First Church of the Nazarene in Warren.

Surviving Mrs. Slagle are her daughter, Mary Reed of Howland; five grandsons; two granddaughters; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Preceding Mrs. Slagle in death are her parents; her husband, James Earl Slagle, whom she married November 9, 1929 and who died June 13, 1978; two daughters, Kathleen Purcell and Betty Gibson; and a brother, Frank Ballish.

Services for Mrs. Slagle are 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2004 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Lynn Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service. Material contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
