Ethel V. Julian

Ethel Virginia Julian of Niles passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 1:40 p.m. in Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. She was 84.

Ethel was born in Bolindale, OH on March 3, 1934, the daughter of the late William E. Sr. and Ethel B. Martin Clark.

She was a 1952 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Ethel was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Earlier in life Mrs. Julian was employed part time at Leopold’s Shoe Store in downtown Niles.

Mrs. Julian was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, where she was a member of the church prayer group and trained altar servers. Her family meant the world to her. Ethel enjoyed going to the casinos and ballroom dancing. Anyone that had the pleasure to meet Ethel always enjoyed her company and friendship.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank A. Julian Sr. whom she married August 30, 1952. Today would have been their 66th wedding anniversary; 3 sons, Roland J. (Kewen) Julian of North Jackson, Ronald J. (Hazel) Julian of Niles, and Frank A. Jr. (Lavon) Julian of Niles; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William E. Clark Jr. and Robert Clark; a sister, Phyllis Frye.

Calling hours will be on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. A procession will leave the funeral home for mass at 9:30 a.m.

Internment will be in Niles City Cemetery.
