Gary A Orr

Warren, OH - Gary A. Orr, 64, passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms as he went home to our Lord after a long illness on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born in Warren, Ohio, on February 8, 1954, the son of the late Ralph and Mary E. (Kordes) Orr. He graduated from Warren G. Harding in 1972 and remained in the Warren area.

He met and married Beth Cooley Orr and together they raised their son, Christopher, in Champion. He was employed as a mechanic with Fairhaven Trumbull County DD for many years before his retirement. Some of his passions were Farmall cub tractors, restoring small engines and farm tractors, and going to tractor shows in and around Ohio and Pennsylvania. He was an active member of the Trumbull County Tractors Club, Ashtabula County Tractors Club, ASE Diesel Mechanic Organization and a Masonic brother at the Old Erie Lodge of Warren.

Gary loved spending as much time as possible with his family and particularly with his grandsons, his “little buddies”, family outings and picnics. His family was his life and his dogs, Maddie and Sara were always by his side. He loved helping others whenever asked or needed.

Surviving are his loving wife; Beth; son; Christopher (Stephanie) Orr of Howland; grandchildren; Carter and Caleb Orr; sister; Karen Kline of Warren, brothers; Irvin Orr of College Station, TX, Bob (Carol) Orr of McDonald; nieces; Michelle (Larry) Swonger of Warren, and Denise (Bill) Stamp of McDonald, and, his loving dogs; Sara and Maddie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; previous wife Janice Orr; two brothers; and his best buddy; Abe his English Springer Spaniel.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 6:00 pm for a Celebration of Life at the Bolindale Christian Church at 2749 Fairview Ave., SE, Warren, OH with Reverend Ray Blasko officiating. The family will be holding a reception afterwards at the church.
