Gary L (Jr.) Placer

Gary Lee Placer, Jr., 46, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 8th, 2018 in the emergency room at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 17th, 1972 in Warren the son of Gary Sr. and Anita Culver Placer.

On July 17, 2015, Gary was united in marriage to Alexandria Jackson Placer. They would have celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary this month.

Gary was a 1990 graduate of Lordstown High School, and he was self-employed in home remodeling and construction. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle with his wife and was an avid hunter. Gary had a love for being outdoors, especially in the woods where he found peace and solitude. Family was most important to him, most especially, his children. Gary had a huge heart and a sense of humor that will remain with us forever. He was truly an amazing individual willing to lend a hand to anyone in need anytime, anyplace in his 46 years on this earth. His children adored and loved him so very much. Gary will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Alexandria; three children, Benjamin, Malerie, and Colton; his grieving mother, Anita (Jerry) Placer; mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Terrie Jackson; three sisters, Sheena (Cassidy) Placer, Brittney Placer, and Cassandra (Kyle) Placer; brother-in-law, Richard (Vicky) Jackson; sisters-in-law, Samantha (Eric) Jackson and Jamie Jackson; 14 nieces and nephews; two great nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gary Placer, Sr.; his daughter, Autumn Elizabeth; maternal grandparents, Donald and Margie Culver; and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Betty Placer.

Funeral services for Gary will be held Monday, July 16th, 2018 at McFarland-Barbee Family Funeral Home at 12:00 noon where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery.
