Helen M. Deffenbaugh

Helen M. Deffenbaugh of Warren passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:10 p.m. in Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge. She was 72 years old.

Helen was born on May 10, 1948 in Warren, the daughter of the late James and Georgianna Gilbert Strang.

Mrs. Deffenbaugh was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

Helen married Dean Deffenbaugh on July 10, 1965 and spend many wonderful years together until his passing on July 8, 2015.

She was a homemaker. Helen enjoyed spending her time outdoors gardening, playing a hand of cards, and playing video games. Most importantly she cherished her time with her family and friends.

Helen is survived by her 2 daughters, Lori Spithaler and Lisa (Stephen) Kubinski both of Warren; a sister, Marianna Troy of Niles; 1 brother, James Strang 2 stepbrothers, Mark Strang and Bill Strang; 4 grandchildren, Travis Spithaler, Daniel Spithaler, Jeffrey Kubinski, and Allisan Kubinski; and 2 great-grandchildren, Michoul and Zachrie.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Demetris and her stepbrother, Regis Strang.

Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
