James P. Doran Sr.

James P. Doran Sr. of Warren, formerly a life long resident of Niles, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 8:06 a.m. in White Oak Manor. He was 86.
James was born on May 1, 1931 in Niles, the son of the late Joseph E. Sr. and Mary Frances Bohne Doran.
He attended Niles City School Systems. James retired after 34 years as a maintenance mechanic for National Gypsum Company.
Mr. Doran was of Catholic faith. He enjoyed watching Western’s, NASCAR, and short track dirt racing. Later in life, James and his wife enjoyed traveling to various racing events.
James is survived by a daughter, Deborah Doran of Niles; 3 sons, James P. Doran Jr. of Sacramento, CA, Joseph Doran of Mechanicsburg, OH, and Thomas Doran of Niles; a brother Joseph E. Doran Jr. of Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Peacha Doran, whom he married in 1977; a son Michael Doran; a sister, Ada Bertolini.
