Jason Betras

Jason Betras, 43, of Niles, passed away following a brief illness on April 21, 2024, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.

Jason was born in Warren on June 4, 1980, a son of Mitchell and Janet (Zorn) Betras. He was a 1998 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and went on to further his education at Kent State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Programming. He was currently employed at Ultium Cells LLC.

In his free time Jason enjoyed building computers, playing video games, tennis, and chess. He could often be found deep in a game of World of Warcraft. Jason loved to cook and grill. He was also a Cleveland Browns football fan.

Jason leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother and grandmother Janet Jones and Jessie Scott both of Florida; his sister Krista Betras of Niles; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Mitchell, stepfather Richard Jones, and grandfathers Philip Zorn and James A. Scott.  

In keeping with Jason’s wishes there will be no services.
