Jay G. Richards

Jay G. Richards of Bazetta, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 7:24 p.m. in his residence. He was 73 years old.

Jay was born on August 10, 1946 in Warren, the son of the late Gerald L. and Hazel Witmer Richards.

He was a graduate of Newton Falls High School. Following high school, Jay went on to obtain his Associates Degree from Kent State University.

Jay proudly served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged July 7, 1971.

Mr. Richards was employed with Sprint for many years.

Jay had a passion for riding motorcycles, found relaxation camping in the great outdoors, in his spare time he liked to read books on various topics, and watch various types of racing.

He is survived by a daughter, Amber Richards of Lowellville, OH; a grandson, Raven; a sister, Jeri Sullivan of Port Charlotte, GA.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Richards, who passed away in 2011; 2 brothers Marshall Lee and Gary Raymond Richards.
