Joanne Marsh

Joanne Marsh of Niles passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 12:46 a.m. in Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. She was 68.

Joanne was born in Olive Hill, KY on April 17, 1951, the daughter of the late Earsel and Dorothy Fisher Hanshaw.

She was a 1970 graduate of McDonald High School. Mrs. Marsh was employed as a dietary aid at the former Glenview Manor and retired from the housekeeping department of the former Autumn Hills Nursing Home.

Joanne loved the outdoors, especially spending time camping with family and friends. She enjoyed doing crafts and had a true love for animals her entire life. Most importantly she cherished the memories she made with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Randall L. Marsh, whom she married May 14, 1990; a son, Jake (Patty) Goldsmith of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Rita (Ronald) Schroeder of Akeley, MN; a brother, Phillip Hanshaw of McDonald; 7 grandchildren, James, Victoria, Cassandra, Allanna, Samantha, Paige, and Haley; 6 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by a son, Vincent E. Goldsmith; a sister, Marcella Wright; a brother, LeRoy Hanshaw.
