Karen Sue Patterson

Karen Sue Patterson of Niles passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 11:17 AM in her residence. She was 72.

Karen was born in Youngstown on March 29, 1951, the daughter of the late William and Laura Conner Uncapher.

She enjoyed playing bingo and working puzzles in her free time. She loved tending to her flower gardens and Karen always had a canine companion throughout her life and was blessed with her current dog Shiloh. Karen also raised her seven children and being surrounded by her family and grandchildren was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Joanna) Day of Weathersfield, Chuck (Marlene) Day of Niles, David (Sue Ann) Day of McDonald, Candy Skiens of Warren, Bobbi Jo Williams of Howland, Larry (Jessica) Patterson of Champion, and Lonnie Sweitzer of Weathersfield; 3 sisters, Ruth (Dale) Seginak of Warren, Debbie Seginak of Niles, and Shari (Nicole) Uncapher of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, David Day Jr., and Caitlin Skiens.
