Larry Francis Watson

Larry Francis Watson of New Castle, PA passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 of natural causes. He was 67.

Larry was born August 12, 1950 in Youngstown, the son of the late Barden T. and Helen B. Koren Watson.

Mr. Watson was a 1969 graduate of Girard High School. He was previously employed as an auto detailer.

Larry was a very talented and passionate drummer who had a love for rock music. He always had a love for animals, especially his dogs, throughout his life he had numerous four-legged friends by his side. Larry found enjoyment spending time with a fishing pole in his hand or watching a football game. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Larry’s favorite hobby was painting model cars. Most importantly he enjoyed the time he spent with his friends in his apartment building, but especially cherished the moments spent with his son Michael.

His wife, Elma Juillerat Watson, whom he married March 5, 2004, passed away on March 12, 2004.

He is survived by a son, Michael Watson of New Castle, PA; a brother, Curtis (Kathy) Watson of Uniontown, OH; a sister, Patricia (Merle) McLean of Vienna; a grandson, Zildjian Watson of Sharon, PA; a niece, Jennifer (Dan) White of Champion.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A private memorial service will take place in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.

An inurnment will take place alongside his parents at Girard City Cemetery.
