Larry Dale Goodman

Larry Dale Goodman of Niles went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2:31 a.m. in Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital. He was 68.

Larry was born in Crix Ridge, KY on October 8, 1949, the son of the late Robert C. and Edith Riddle Goodman.

He was a graduate of Rowan County High School, following high school Larry furthered his education at Morehead State University.

Mr. Goodman was employed on the Assembly Line of General Motors for 36 years. Following retirement, Larry assisted Toyota of Warren as a Car Transport Driver.

Larry was a man of faith and loved his church, a deacon at Deforest Rd. Free Will Baptist Church in Warren for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed a quiet day at the lake with a fishing pole in hand, admiring classic cars, a good scoop of ice cream, and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. Mr. Goodman was never seen without a smile on his face and an extended hand to help those in need.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Charlene White Goodman, whom he married November 29, 1975; 2 daughters, Terry Goodman (Maura Haas) of Cleveland, OH, and Carrie Maky of Bristolville, OH; a sister, Judith (Wayne) Black of Morehead, KY; 2 brothers, Donald (Shirley) Goodman of Morehead, KY and Ronald (Maria) Goodman of Morehead, KY; 2 grandchildren, Zachary and Jack. Mr. Goodman is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours are Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Jay Hill and Rev. Starkey Gilliam.

Internment will take place in McClain-Arnold Cemetery in Clearfield, KY.
