Leroy J. “Bud” Santimarino of East Palestine passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 12:39 p.m. in Heritage Manor. He was 88.
Leroy was born in Massillon, OH on November 8, 1930, the son of the late Fred and Helen Antimary Santimarino.
He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Mr. Santimarino retired in 1996 after 30 years of employment at General Motors Lordstown Complex, where he held many positions throughout his years there.
He was of Catholic faith. Leroy was a life member of Salem Elks Lodge 305 and the American Legion. Mr. Santimarino loved baseball and played in the minor leagues, he was an avid golfer and played in various leagues throughout his life. Leroy cherished his family especially his grandchildren and his dog, Sugar. He loved to make everyone laugh and put everyone else before himself.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Bacon Santimarino, whom he married February 11, 1997; 6 daughters, Sharon Olsen of California, Karen Pinkerton of Wellsville, OH, Brenda Ferguson of Reynoldsburg, OH, Ruth Gordillo of California, Holly Gorby of Salem, and Heather Morrow Enon Valley, PA; 2 sons, Steven Santimarino of Hammondsville, OH and Jeremy Morrow of East Palestine, OH; 3 sisters, Jean Baldasare of Wellsville, OH, Joyce White of Wellsville, OH, and Barbara Beadnell; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Donna DaLonzo, Mary Ann McCauley, and Delores Crouse.

Inurnment will take place in Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine, OH
