Margaret M. (Henderson) Hassell, 89, of Niles, Ohio, died 5:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2004 at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles.

She was born on Thursday, November 12, 1914, in Homestead, Pa., the daughter of the late George M. and Christina Stirling Henderson.

Mrs. Hassell graduated from Sharon, Pa. High School and the New York School of Interior Design. She and her late husband Ralph owned Hassell Furniture in Warren, Ohio. She had been a member of the Warren Exchangettes, the golf league at Champion Links, a bowling league, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Surviving Mrs. Hassell are four children: Lynn (George) Lockwood of Sarasota, Florida, Gail (Michael) Cantelmo of Warren, Alan Hassell of Warren, and R. Douglas (Patricia) Hassell of Miami, Florida; and she was lovingly known as "Honey" to her twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mrs. Hassell in death are her parents; her husband, Ralph H. Hassell, whom she married November 12, 1940 and who died September 14, 1993; and three brothers: John Henderson, George Henderson, and Archibald Henderson.

Services for Mrs. Hassell will be 7:30 PM Thursday, February 19, 2004 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Robert M. Lindberg officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 6:00 to 7:30 PM Thursday. Private inurnment will take place at the columbarium at First Presbyterian Church of Warren.

Material contributions may be made either to the Henderson Memorial Fund, First Presbyterian Church, 660 East State St., Sharon, Pa. 16146, or to the donor's favorite charity.
