Mark M. James

Mark M. James of Niles passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:40 a.m. in Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home Liberty Campus. He was 68 years old.

Mark was born on October 21, 1952 in Warren, the son of the late William and Kathleen Baker James.

He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School.

Mark found joy in the simple things. Over the years he enjoyed fishing trips, bowling, coaching girls’ softball and participating in fantasy baseball. He took great pride in his jobs, first at Handyman Hardware and then at Shepherd of the Valley, where he was a friend to everyone. Most importantly, Mark loved the special dinners with his family and his weekly breakfasts with his friends.

Mr. James is survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia James; a nephew, Jeffrey (Ellen) James; and a niece, Lisa (Jeremy) Shane; 2 great nieces, Audrey and Anna; a great nephew, Austin.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Tom James, and his sister, Nancy Grace James.
