Mary Anne Nell

Mary Anne Nell, 92, of Warren, Ohio, passed away October 10, 2018, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. The eldest of two daughters of Mildred and Dewey Hunt was born September 12, 1926 in Hadley, PA. The family moved to Cambridge, Ohio in 1940.

She married Martin E. Nell on September 5, 1947. They spent 56 wonderful years together and raised six children.

After high school Mary moved to Cleveland, Ohio and began working for the GEO Worthington Company during and after WWII. The Nell family moved to Warren, Ohio in 1953 for his job. After raising her children, Mary Anne began a career in the dentistry field working with Dr. Alan Hadley as a Dental Assistant for 26 years. Mary Anne retired in 2004.

Mary Anne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Warren, Ohio for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Youngstown Chapter of White Shrine Bethlehem Lodge for 60 years.

She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Harley) Palmer of Portsmouth, NH, Linda (Stephan Stenson) Nell of Warren, OH, who took care of her and resided with her. Her sons George (Susan) Nell of Gardiner, MT and Lawrence (Jackie Sollitto) Nell of Warren, OH. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in passing were her parents, an infant brother, sister Margaret  Lorimer, her husband Martin, and her two children Judy Davis and Dan Nell.

Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. No Services are planned per her request.
