Michael R. Grande

Michael R. Grande of Sharon passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:52 a.m. in his residence. He was 56 years old.

Michael was born on July 18, 1964 in Sharon, the son of the late William J. and Rita M. Sponberger Grande.

He was a 1982 graduate of Farrell High School. All Michael ever wanted to do with his life was to be a fireman. It was not only his calling but a passion for him. For over 19 years he called the Farrell Fire Department Home. Beginning as a volunteer and working his way up through the ranks over the years until his retirement.

Mr. Grande was of Catholic faith. In his spare time, you could find Michael at his favorite fishing spots or tinkering in the garage on any motor or project he put his mind to. He was a member of various social clubs throughout his life.  Most importantly he loved and cherished his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by a daughter, Sierra Grande of Daleville, AL; 2 sons, Patrick Grande of Enterprise, AL and Matthew Grande of Transfer, PA; a sister, Aleta (Dennis) Sagadraca of Las Vegas; a brother, Joseph (Lynda) Grande of Farrell; 2 grandchildren, Alexis Grande and Sharon “Bella” Bush.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a brother, William Grande Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Victory Christian Center 269 Cowden Rd. New Wilmington, PA 16142. Calling hours will be a half hour prior to the service in the church.
