Miriam Louise Munyon

Miriam Louise Munyon of Leetonia passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 12:28 p.m. in Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center. She was 90.

Miriam was born on August 7, 1928 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Robert J. and Hazel Mae Carney Ulrich.

She was a 1946 graduate of East Palestine High School. Over the years, Miriam was a secretary for the former Wm. K. Stamets Co. in Columbiana.

Mrs. Munyon was a proud and active member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana. She did secretarial work for many years at the church and from the same chair sang for 62 years in the church choir. Her church was truly her passion. She took pleasure and enjoyment in a good cup of Black Tea. Earlier in life, Miriam enjoyed planting flowers in her garden.

Her husband, James L. Munyon, whom she married January 30, 1948, passed away on April 15, 2008.

She is survived by 2 sons, David C. Munyon of Leetonia and Mark A. Munyon of Cortland, OH; 2 grandsons, Joseph A. and James D. Munyon.

Miriam was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 in the First Christian Church of Columbiana 39 Cherry St. Columbiana, OH 44480.
