Paul A. Champlin of Niles passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 1:46 p.m. in Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. He was 71 years old.
Paul was born in Boston, MA on July 28, 1949. Following graduation from high school, Mr. Champlin proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam War.
Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corp. Paul furthered his education in college, earning a bachelor’s degree of History.
He retired from Delphi Packard Electric where he held various positions during his time there.
Paul was of Baptist faith. Being the history buff that he was, Mr. Champlin enjoyed going antiquing at various antique malls throughout the area.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Peterson Champlin with whom he was married to for 10 years; a daughter, Hannah (Dan) Meeks of Mentor, OH; 2 sons, Darren (Marianna) Champlin of Davison, NC and Eric (Robert Sollie) Champlin of Hiawassee, GA; 1 sister; 3 brothers; 4 grandchildren, Isaac, Julian, Lucy, and Lillian.
Mr. Champlin was preceded in death by his parents.

At Paul’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Paul will be interred with full military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
