Pearl Elma Jeanes

October 7, 1932 — January 5, 2018

Pearl Elma Jeanes of Warren, formerly of New Castle, passed away on January 5, 2018 at 3:00 a.m. in Community Skilled Health care with her family by her side. She was 85.

Ms. Jeanes was born in Bristol, OH on October 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles and Marie Welsh Jeanes.

She attended Bristol School System.  For many years she was a waitress at Jimmy’s Sandwich Shop in New Castle.

Pearl was a member of Shenango Christian Church of New Castle. She loved children, Pearl would look after many of the children in the neighborhood. Ms. Jeanes enjoyed playing bingo, attending bible study, cooking, and word search puzzles. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

Ms. Jeanes is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Roger) Ayres-Fackety of Niles; a brother Charles Jeanes of Nevada; 2 grandchildren, Brittany (Michael) Colello of West Farmington and Carrie Ayres of Mecca, OH; 1 great grandchild, Olivia Jean Colello.

In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Martha Evans, Goldie Haun, Edith Morgan, Catherine Daniels, Myra Lee Davis and Ruth Jeanes; a brother Jim Sams.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.

A time for sharing thoughts and memories of Pearl will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the funeral home.

Internment will take place in Meadow Brook Memorial Park.
