Richard Boyce

Richard Boyce of Masury passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 5:04 a.m. in his residence. He was 73 years old.

Richard was born on December 1, 1947 in Youngstown, the son of the late Edwin and Arlene Reed Boyce.

He was a 1966 graduate of Hubbard High School. Mr. Boyce retired in 2014 after 40 years of employment as a Truck Driver for Lyden Hauling.

Richard was a member of Covenant Life Fellowship Church in Hubbard. His true passions in life were drag racing and family. These two loves went hand in hand. His family will always have fond memories of time spent at the racetrack together. While at home relaxing you could always find Richard watching reruns of the Family Feud television show.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hook Boyce, whom he married November 25, 1966; 3 children, Michele (Jeffrey) Sharpe of Niles, Eric (Brynn) Boyce of Masury, and Karen (Marcus) Merrell of Hubbard; 2 brothers, William (Patricia) Boyce of Hubbard and Mark Boyce of Haines City, FL; 8 grandchildren, Aliesha, Corrine, Alexis, Carsen, Elaina, Brooklyn, Agnes, and Maddie.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jaxon.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 with Rev. Eric Diehl.
