Newton Falls

Robert E. Dunn Sr. of Newton Falls passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 9:17 p.m. in Trumbull Regional Medical Center. He was 73.

Robert was born on February 4, 1946 in Morgantown, W.V., the son of the late Robert Elmer and Virginia Stewart Dunn.

He was a graduate of Windham High School. Following high school, Robert proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served our country in the Vietnam War.  After serving his country, Robert was employed by HarbisonWalker International Refractory as a Racker.

Mr. Dunn enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved playing a good game of cards especially poker, spades or UNO. He also enjoyed playing chess. Most of all he loved spending time with his “Little Buddy” Kayden, making memories and enjoying life.

Robert is survived by his 2 daughters, Kimberly (Chris) Rogers of Ravenna and Tara Dunn of Randolph; 2 sons, Robert E. (Donna) Dunn Jr. and Richard Dunn both of Newton Falls; 2 sisters, Freda (Jim) Ochsenbine of Warren and Mary Dunn of Vienna; 4 brothers, Allan (Betty) Dunn of Leavittsburg, Tom (Susan) Dunn of Streetsboro, Kenneth Dunn and Joe (Debbie) Dunn both of Colorado; 8 grandchildren, Samantha, Josh A., Nathan, Nicole, Luke, Josh B., Gabe and Kaylee; and his great grandson Kayden.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by an infant brother Franklin.
