Robert Paul Igo, Jr. of South Euclid passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020. He

was 54.

Robert was born on December 3, 1965 in Seattle WA, the son of Robert Paul Igo,

Sr. and Dorothy (Baker) Igo.

Dr. Igo graduated from Oberlin College where he completed his undergraduate

studies.  He next obtained his PhD from the University of Utah. He furthered his

education by completing his Post-Doctoral work through the University of

Washington.

Dr. Igo was employed by Case Western Reserve University where he was an

Assistant Professor of Statistical Genetics. He participated in research with

many research groups and had published dozens of well received articles in

peer-reviewed journals.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends participating in a Tuesday night game

group. During his free time, he also found relaxation in reading. He bowled in

various leagues throughout the area, liked biking, and loved cats.

He is survived by his wife, Katheryne McFarland Igo, whom he married on July 1,

1995; his father, Robert Paul Igo, Sr. of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, M. Kathleen Igo

of Las Angeles, CA; a brother, Sean (Julia) Igo of Seattle, WA; a mother-in-law,

Alice McFarland of Mantua; and sister-in-law Linda McFarland (Ray Jablonski) of

Hudson.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother.
