Robert Michael Shaffer, Jr.

Robert Michael Shaffer Jr. of Niles passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 12:01 p.m. in his residence. He was 39 years old.

Michael was born on November 22, 1980 in Hahn, Germany, the son of Robert and Denise Seiple Shaffer Sr.

He was a 1999 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Following high school, Michael furthered his education at ETI College where he earned his Electricians certification.

Most recently, Mr. Shaffer was a self-employed mechanic. In his spare time Michael loved being outdoors, whether it was relaxing at the pool or cooking out for friends and family. He loved listening to music and took pride in his tattoos. As he would put it, he loved those old school cars. Most importantly, Michael cherished being a father and surrounding himself with friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Denise Shaffer of Lordstown; his father, Robert M. Shaffer Sr. of Bonita Springs, FL; maternal grandparents, Alice Seiple of Lordstown John Stafford of Mecca; 4 sons, Austin Shaffer of Niles, Ethan Shaffer of Niles, Jaxon Shaffer of Hubbard, and Billy Moss of Hubbard; a sister, Vikki Lawrence of Niles; 3 Nieces, Alyssa, Aleigha, and Abryanna.

Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
