Theodore P. "Ted" Theodore
May 14, 1935 — November 24, 2017
Theodore P. “Ted” Theodore of Niles, whose body, soul, and spirit was released from this earth to return to God’s heavenly kingdom and to his eternal resting place on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 9:25 a.m. in Presbyterian Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center following complications from a stroke. He was 82.
Mr. Theodore was born in Niles on May 14, 1935, the son of the late Phillip and Zoe “Zita” Zafiriou Theodore.
Theodore was a 1953 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Following high school, Ted attended ATES Trade School, where he obtained various certifications in hydraulics and electrical.
He proudly served his country for 8 years in the United State Army Reserves.
Mr. Theodore retired after 37 years as an electrician in the instrument repair department for Copperweld Specialty Steel Company in Warren, OH.
Ted was a man of many abilities, from fixing kids’ toys and bikes to broken down cars and machines at work. He was willing to lend a hand, an open ear, and always made himself available to those in need. He was a family man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Ted cherished the memories and moments surrounded by his family and friends.
Mr. Theodore is survived by; His wife of 59 years, Gloria M. Blasé Theodore, whom he married March 22, 1958; 3 children, Denise Theodore of Hesperia, CA, Phillip M. (Kathy) Theodore of Centerville, OH, and Christine M. (Ken) Pavlick of Niles; a brother, Constantine “Gus” (Peggy) Theodore of Romeo, MI; 3 grandchildren, Katelyn M. Urichich, Derek J. Urichich, and Alexis N. Urichich.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446. A masonic service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Curtis Miller.
Internment will take place in Pineview Cemetery.
