Wade A. "Bo" Vogan Sr.

Wade A. “Bo” Vogan Sr. of Hermitage passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 4:46 p.m. in Sharon Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was 82.

Wade was born on October 19, 1937 in Sharon, the son of the late Carl and Mildred Elinor Gould Vogan.

He attended Sharon School System. Mr. Vogan began his employment at the former GATX as a welder following their closure, he went on in the delivery personnel department of Greenwood Home Healthcare. He retired from Case Avenue School System as a crossing guard for over 14 years.

Mr. Vogan attended First Assembly of God in Hermitage. Baseball was his life. In his youth, Wade played for the Buhl Club Wiz Kids, and later in life he coached his sons in little league and the American Legion Fabulous Goldstein’s in Sharon and Youngstown. In addition, he coached his grandsons in little league. His coaching career span over twenty years. He loved having the ability to shape the minds of the kids that he came in contact with. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns and a diehard Sharon Tiger fan. He loved NASCAR and going to Sharon Speedway.

Wade is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Juliana Saunders Vogan, whom he married January 17, 1958; 2 sons, Wade A. (Nancy) Vogan Jr. of Springfield, TN and Pudge Edward (Kimberlee) Vogan of Sharon, PA; 2 sisters, Paula Fulford of Warren and Kathleen Hopkins of Hermitage, PA; 7 grandchildren, Adam, Christy, Kelly, Erin, Wade, Don, and Kimberlee; 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Wade was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward, Carl, and Richard Vogan; 2 sisters, Juanita Yekich and Jeanette Veccia.

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the First Assembly of God 1455 N. Keel Ridge Rd. Hermitage, PA 16148.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 24, 2019 in the church with Rev. Kenneth E. Martin.
