Walter Myron Jefferson

Walter Myron Jefferson of Youngstown, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. in the Hospice House, Poland. He was 77.
Walter was born on June 28, 1940 in Youngstown, the son of the late Eugene and Mildred Collier Jefferson.
He was a graduate of Youngstown’s East High School. Following high school, Water enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served as an Airplane Electrician from 1959 to his honorable discharge in 1962.
Mr. Jefferson was previously employed through the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66.
He was of Jehovah Witness Faith. Walter spent each day with a group of friends that gathered at the McDonalds on 5th Ave. to discuss the days current events. In his spare time, Walter enjoyed working with computers, fishing, and his model train collection.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Callion Jefferson, whom he married June 27, 1992; 5 daughters, Tanya Jefferson, Crystal Jefferson, Averi Jefferson, Brandi Callion, and Michelle Pough; 6 sons, Damon Jefferson, Tyrone Jefferson, Tony (Joanna) Jefferson, Stephan Jefferson, Darnell Pough, and Chase Callion; Walter is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ray Jefferson; 3 sisters, Lois Yancy, Phyllis Mundy, and Sandra Jefferson.
