David L. McClimans Sr. of Youngstown passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 12:41 p.m. in University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center. He was 61 years old.
He was born on July 4, 1959 in Youngstown, the son of the late Harvey and Helen Walsh McClimans.
David attended Niles City School Systems. Mr. McClimans was employed out of Roofers Local 71 for many years.
Earlier in life, David enjoyed hunting. Like the date of his birth, he lived his life like a firecracker but was a gentle soul to those around him. He loved to spend time outdoors, from fishing to target shooting. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. Most of all he loved riding his motorcycle, and as far as David was concerned there was only one type of bike to ride, his Harley Davidson.
He is survived by 2 sons, David McClimans II and his Fiancé, Rosemary Dobbins and Daniel McClimans both of Niles; a daughter, Lisa McClimans of Pulaski, PA; 3 brothers, John Brooks, Bert McClimans, and Joseph Brooks; 3 sisters, Tina McClimans, Debra Perez, and Sandy Pierce; 10 grandchildren; his stepmother, Sue McClimans. David is also survived by his longtime companion and girlfriend, Julia Schmidt of Girard.
David was preceded in death his parents, Harvey McClimans and Helen Nelson; a brother, Stanley McClimans.

A celebration of David’s life will take place at Master's Bar & Grill 1675 Trumbull Ave. Girard, OH 44420 on May 29, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.
