David Reitz Sr. of Niles passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11:11 a.m. in his residence. He was 61 years old.

David was born in Quantico, VA on December 29, 1959, the son of the late Ed and Mary Elizabeth Raybuck Reitz.

Mr. Reitz was a 1978 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Following high school, David was employed with various construction and plumbing companies throughout the area.

He was of Baptist Faith. Family meant the world to David, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Reitz enjoyed spending a sunny day fishing or working with his hands on all the various items he collected. He always put other’s needs ahead of his own and was always there to help.

David is survived by a son, David Reitz Jr of Mineral Ridge; a sister, Mary Ann Reitz, and her fiancé C.J. Swiger; 3 brothers, Robert (Teresa) Reitz, Rodney Reitz, and Paul (Suzanne) Reitz Sr.; 2 grandchildren, Chloe and Theodore “Teddy” Reitz. In addition, he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
