Donald "Chiefy" Robison

Donald “Chiefy” Robison, 90, passed away at Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge on November 7, 2020.

He was born in Warren, Ohio, on June 26, 1930, the son of the late George and Ella Funtjar Robison.

Chief was a graduate of Warren Harding High School and a 1994 inductee into the Warren Sports Hall of Fame,

He proudly served our country in the United States Army.

He worked for a short time at Republic Steel and retired from the Warren City Street Dept. after 25 years of service.

He had a great singing voice and sang in the church he attended. Chief loved all sports, and especially enjoyed coaching baseball for young people. He loved all animals, but especially Brady, his K9 companion. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by 2 brothers and 1 sister: Robert (Gerry) Robison, Raymond (Helen) Robison, and Carolyn Williams, all of Florida. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Ohio and Florida. Chief’s longtime companion, Candy Ila Murphy, and her family will miss him, always smiling and always the “Joker”.

He was predeceased in death by a brother, John “Bones” Robison.
