Howard Kemery of Youngstown passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 12:55 p.m. in Windsor House at Liberty Health Care Center. He was 69 years old.

Howard was born on February 17, 1952 in Youngstown, the son of the late Harold E. and Clara L. Watt Kemery.

He was a graduate of North High School in Youngstown. Following high school, Howard continued to further his education beginning at Walsh University where he attended classes in Techniques in working with Limited Ability Students, he went on to further educate himself at Kent State University in Computer Aided Drafting and Psychology of Athletics, he then attended Youngstown State University where he studied Photography and Graphic Publishing. Howard earned his Bachelor of Industrial Art Degree from Fairmont State University.

Howard was an industrial Arts Teacher at South Range School System from 1974 to 2002 where he taught various classes ranging from Mechanical Drawing to Wood Technology.

During his time as a teacher, Howard was a successful coach and assistant coach at South Range. He molded track and cross-country teams into County and League Champions and State Qualifiers. Mr. Kemery had a passion for R/C cars. He held numerous championships and traveled the world representing R/C racing from 1965 to 2004.

Mr. Kemery is survived by 2 sisters, Janet Arendas of Warren, and Jane Gordon of Girard; a brother, Harold (Linda) Kemery of Farmdale.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
