Jay Culler

Jay Culler of Columbiana passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 4:17 a.m. in Select Specialty Hospital - Boardman. He was 63 years old.

Jay was born on June 19, 1958, in Salem, OH, the son of the late Richard H. and Shirley Mae Morris Culler.

He graduated Crestview High School in 1977. He was a machinist at Hunt Valve for many years.

Mr. Culler was an avid guitar player in his younger years. He also used to enjoy driving around in whatever muscle car he owned at the time including his Trans Am or his Porsche. He loved his motorcycle and enjoyed following his favorite race cars. His time living in North Carolina also meant a lot to him and left him with an appreciation for time spent on a beach.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Lee Sluss; his 3 grandchildren, Gregory Jr., Zackary, and Alexandria Sluss; his 2 great-grandchildren, Elijah and Siler Sluss; his sister-in-law, Mary Jeneane Culler; a nephew, Randy Culler Jr.; and a niece, Leigh Ann (Matt) College.

Jay is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Randall “Randy” Clay Culler Sr.
