John R. Shelley Jr.

John Raymond Shelley Jr. of Warren passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 6:13 p.m. in his residence. He was 40.

John was born June 21, 1979 in Warren, the son of John R. Sr. and Sandra Lee Shelley.

He was a 1997 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. He has been employed for the past 15 years with Ohio Star Forge Company, where he held various positions throughout the company.

Mr. Shelley was of Christian faith. He loved cheering on his favorite NFL team The Washington Redskins, spending an occasional day on the golf course, relaxing while playing his favorite video games, and was an avid Cleveland Indians and NASCAR fan. John was passionate about music of all types. He loved being surrounded by his family and numerous friends. His friends always expected a funny joke from John to make them laugh. John and Angela loved spending quality time by the water, whether it was at a water park or spending time on the sandy beach of Lake Erie to the tropical beaches of Jamaica.

John is survived by his wife, Angela DeJacimo-Shelley, whom he married May 13, 2019. They spent 10 wonderful years together and sadly only 5 months of a loving marriage that was supposed to be a lifetime; his mother, Sandra Lee Shelley of Niles; his father in law, Lee DeJacimo; his mother in law, Judy DeJacimo; a sister in law, Andrea DeJacimo; and his fur baby Fiona. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father John R. Shelley Sr.; a brother, Jeffrey Allen Brandt.
