Joseph Lee Patterson Jr.

Joseph L. Patterson Jr. of Niles passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 11:41 p.m. in the emergency room of St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was 39.

Joe was born on December 17, 1978 in Youngstown, the son of Joseph L. Sr. and Sally Bigelow Patterson.

He attended Seneca School Systems in Missouri. For 19 years Joe was employed in maintenance and event setup for the Ciminero’s Banquet Center and the former Mollica’s Banquet Center. Currently, Joe was employed as a driver for Amish families throughout the valley. He loved the people he met and the places he experienced while working as a driver.

Mr. Patterson enjoyed spending time with family, friends and children. He always appreciated the sight and sound of motorcycles and was an avid WWE Wrestling fan. He liked to spend a day fishing, sled riding in the winter and swimming in the summer.

He is survived by his father, Joseph L. Patterson Sr. and his companion Jody Seabolt) of Niles; 2 sisters, Jessica (Jesse) Holbrook of Warren and Joely (William) Austin of Niles; 2 nieces, Leena and Layla; a nephew, Xavier; Uncles, James Bigelow, Larry and Fred Patterson, David and Rob Wilson, and Tom Toot; Aunts, Kathleen Clark, Laura (Tom) Czoka, Debbie Buccieri, and Sue Eggenspiller; Cousins David (Heather) Myers, Jasmyn (Kevin) McCarty, and John Myers. In addition, Joe is survived by his long-time companion Cynthia Perez, with whom he made his home and her children, Xavier, Brock, and LaDainian.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Patterson; uncle, William Clark; best friend Delmas “Abe” Pippin.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in Pleasant Valley Church 2055 Pleasant Valley Rd. Niles, OH 44446. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service.
