Judy Lorraine Calvin Haynes, 82, passed away at home on Monday, September 27, 2021 in Greenville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
Judy was born April 19, 1939 to the late Robert McConahey and Maude (Blue) Calvin Sr. in Hartstown, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. She attended East Fallowfield and Conneaut Lake schools. Judy grew up on the family farm and then had the opportunity to live in several states and European countries.
Judy was a kind hearted soul, a real people person who lived for family picnics and visiting with family and friends. She was known to strike up friendly conversations with people she encountered throughout her day. Judy loved reading, writing journals, square dancing, house plants, the paintings done by her mother, light houses, the fall season and trips to the mountains. She enjoyed church, music, sewing, movies, bingo and rides in the country.
Judy is survived by her children Carey L. (Glenn) Green of Greenville, James L. Selvage Jr. of Reno, Nevada and DeAnna L. Selvage Patterson of Youngstown, OH, son Jay L. Selvage is deceased; five grandchildren Rebecca L. Green Kelley, Robert L Green, Jason L. Patterson, Meghan M. Selvage and James L Selvage III; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a brother Gary Dean Calvin of Weston, OH.
Judy was preceded in death by her son Jay, parents, siblings Betty Calvin Love Kitch, Roberta Joanne Calvin Shetler, and Robert McConahey Calvin Jr, and a spouse Robert L Haynes.
A Celebration of Life gathering to honor Judy will be held in the future.
