Lynne Parsley

Lynne Parsley of Warren passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 1:28 p.m. in Warren Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 72 years old.

Lynne was born on May 28, 1949, in Warren, the daughter of the late William and Melissa Snyder Stevens.

Mrs. Parsley was employed in the housekeeping department of the Kent Motor Inn for many years.

Lynne was an accomplished baker and cook, which she loved to do. Family and friends would gather around her table, you would have thought she was cooking for an army. No one ever left her house hungry. Her baking was well known in the area. During the holidays you could find Lynne baking cakes, Christmas cookies, and her popular pumpkin rolls.

She is survived by her son, Bill Parsley of Warren; 2 daughters, Nikkie Rafferty and Jennifer Cassidy both of Warren; 2 sisters, Nancy Bryan of Newton Falls and a twin sister, Lynda Stevens of Warren; an aunt, Carol Graham of PA; She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Akron area.

In addition to her parents, Lynne was preceded in death by her husband, William Parsley who passed away on November 26, 1973; a companion of over 30 years, Tom Rafferty; a sister, Doris Dunn of Newton Falls.

At Lynne’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Lynne will be laid to rest with her husband in Aurora Cemetery.
