Margaret “Peg” E. Cain of Niles passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 8:10 a.m. in South Carolina at the home of her son & daughter-in-law. She was 91.

Margaret was born in Butler, PA on September 7, 1929, the daughter of the late John and Elsie Kestner Rimer.

She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

Mrs. Cain proudly owned and operated The Hoe Down Bar in Murrells Inlet, SC and Delmar Bar in Niles for many years.

She attended Faith Baptist Church in Niles. Peg, as she was affectionately known, enjoyed watching NASCAR races, attending races at Sharon Speedway, quilting, and listening to the songs of Mary Robbins.

Peg is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Larry) Root of Cortland; 2 sons, Ronald (Edith) Cain of Johnsonville, SC and Donald (Arlene McCauley) Cain of Niles; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, George William Cain; a daughter, Rosie Battison; a son James Robert Mink; a sister, Lois Mae Rimer; a brother, Jack Wallace Rimer; a great grandmother whom she was very close to, Margaret Rimer.

A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland, OH.
