Thomas John Fair

Thomas John Fair of Niles passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 3:42 a.m. in the emergency room of Trumbull Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was 48.

Tom was born in Youngstown on August 29, 1969, the son of the late John and Vicky Smith Fair.

He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School.

Mr. Fair was a seal coat specialist and the owner and operator of Fair’s Blacktop and Seal Coat.

He was a member of Niles Christian Assembly. Tom was happiest in his kitchen cooking for his family. He enjoyed shooting a game of pool and playing the blues on his guitar, Tom loved watching football and cheering on his Minnesota Vikings. He was a devoted family man and cherished the memories he made with them.

Tom is survived by his wife, Beth Hawkins Fair, whom he married August 10, 1996; his mother, Vicky Dunlap of Niles; a daughter, Mindy Hake of Youngstown; 3 sons, Johnny, Tommy, and Nathan Fair all of Niles; 2 sisters, Kimberly (Don) Danko of Cincinnati, OH and Dr. Christine (Kevin) Grassel of Mt. Gilead, OH; a granddaughter, Layla.

In addition to his father, Tom was preceded in death by Norman Dunlap whom raised him.

Calling hours will be on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home and Cremation Services 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in the funeral home with Rev. Aaron Newell, pastor of Niles Christian Assembly.

Internment will take place in Niles City Cemetery.
