Thomas "Tommy" Schmitt

Thomas “Tommy” Schmitt of Niles passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 10:31 p.m. in his residence. He was 45 years old.

Tommy was born on December 9, 1974 in Youngstown, the son of the late Donna Louise Mancini Bright.

He attended Niles City School Systems. Mr. Schmitt was employed for various roofing companies throughout the area. He took great pride in his career; Tommy was patient and was always willing to teach others.

Tommy had a deep belief in God. His foundation in life was family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and brother. Tommy was loved and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Young-Schmitt whom he married March 29, 2019; 2 daughters, Tiffany and Katie Schmitt; 2 sons, Zack Exline and Tommy Schmitt; 2 stepchildren, Jase and Josh Kilbourne; 4 sisters, Sueann Stanley of Warren, Tammy Schmitt of Warren, Carmel Schmitt of Niles and Jamie Schmitt of Warren; and his aunt, Annette Robinson.

Mr. Schmitt was preceded in death by his mother.
