Tammie D. Lewis of McDonald passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 5:45 p.m. in her residence following a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. She was 57.
Tammie was born on October 16, 1961 in Warren, the daughter of James and Geraldine Coleman Nichols.
She attended Maplewood School Systems.
Mrs. Lewis was always working in one capacity or another. Earlier in life, she was employed part time as a custodian for the Niles City School System and currently she worked in the Trumbull County Maintenance Department where she provided janitorial services in the courthouse. When Tammie wasn’t working you could find her selflessly caring for others. In her spare time, she loved to tend to her flower beds and plants in her indoor and outdoor gardens.
She is survived by her husband, William Lewis, whom she married October 25, 2001; her mother, Gerri (Mike) Village of McDonald; 2 daughters, Christina (Mark) Garnet of Dubai and Laura (Mark) Wait of Girard; 1 son Gary Kidwell of Warren; a sister, Debbie Bowser of Cortland; 5 brothers, Randall (JoHanna) of Fowler, Roy (Marsha) of Cortland, Larry (Lisa) of Mineral Ridge, Donald of Warren, and Jake Nichols of Warren; 2 grandchildren, Logan and Hayden Wait.
Tammie was preceded in death by her father James Nichols; a sister Sue Nichols.
